few dumb questions

I'm finally about to begin assembling my top end and I want to paint my iron heads. Any tips on what areas should be masked before I spray them?

I also got a 1" intake spacer to clear my tall valve covers. It says for me to get 2 more 7" bolts for my intake. Is this the correct size.....5/16-18 x 7". If so should I get grade 5 or 8? Thanks for the help.

I like to lay painters tape over the intake side completely covered of course none on top.. The exhaust side I fill the holes with old rag pieces.. And tape the exhaust ports and tap lightly around the edge with a flat hammer this will indent the tape with the ports peel the excess tape off and paint

That's the correct length and bolt pattern use grade 8 bolts.
