looking to upgrade

i have 2 of my 8 mustang that i want to do little upgrades on them to get a bit more hp one of them is a 1988 mustang asc mclaren lx 5.0 and the other is a 1987 mustang asc mclaren lx 5.0 both are stock what do you guys reccommend that i upgrade on these car ro get a bit of hp they have the same 5.0 as the cobras do any help will be much appreciated thanks

Headers,upper lower explorer intake, maf,throttle body, aluminum driveshaft, under drive pulleys..but most of all biggest difference you'll get for the cost will be 3:73 gears. If you can get ahold of some aluminum heads in your price range you should Definitly do that when you do the intake.

Thank you I really do appreciate it I will do all of that cause I want to get power but want to keep it naturally aspirated engine

If those are for real ASC McLaren cars I wouldn't touch them. They will be worth more stock than modified.

yea they are original asc mclarens both of them maching numbers transmission and engines as well i also have 2 1984 mustangs gts inline 4 turbo charged i also have a 1987 mustangg lx 5.0 a 1969 mustang coupe 351 winsdor 5.7L a 1984 mustang with a 406 witch i think its the 6.4L and a rare 1993 mustang cobra all stock very proud of my collection and adding more still to the collection thats true i will keep them stock better thank for your opinion

Wow ! I only have 3 fox bodies. It will crush my wife when I tell her I need more mustangs, just one of each body styles to add to what I have should do nicely , anyone need to donate to charity (me) lol

yea it took me 5 year to collect these car i also have a 1978 poniac trans am wit a 6.6L and a 1990 camaro iroc with a 454 carburated am an american muscle guy i love i 3 makes ford is my favorite chrysler and gm i like them all looking for a 197os challenger right now shell alone i want to build it the way i want it

Any upgrade would be a downgrade that most of us do on here. Keep it stock

That's an incredible collection you have! Honestly, I wouldn't touch the ASC Mclaren LX's. Keep those bad boys factory!

Now for any other regular Fox body 5.0s, my first vote is for gears and SR Performance sub-frame connectors to prevent body twist. You'll see a huge improvement in traction and quick acceleration!
