Mustang bogging! Sn95 need help please!!!

I got a 95 mustang gt 5.0. It has a Ecam, intake, sct chip?, flowmaster exhaust. Etc. It has been bogging out basically all summer. I've been also running 94 octane in it. Put fuel stabliser, fuel pump, oring, sending unit, msd wires new plugs. And keeps on doing it! It has been really bugging me and it is lacking in power. My voltage also almost goes all the way down and dies here and there. Please help me, I've been told that I should undo the chip, fuel filter, take out and look at the fuel pump, and to rebuild the motor. Please help me out because I can't figure it out. Please message me on here or send me a message, thanks! Justin

Re: Mustang bogging! Sn95 need help please!!!

have you had the alternator tested? might not be bad bad, but could be phasing in and out, but i guess that doesn't explain the bogging issue, just the voltage :/ man i wish i could be of more help, but i've never really dealt with a 5.0 besides helping friends swap parts

Ok thanks for the help, I'll try that out. It's a red top battery also.

A dirty maf sensor could cause the bog and low rpm causes low voltage output, check it first before u spend real money, foaming clean for maf is cheaper than just swapping parts, also male sure timing n fuel filter check out

Check for vacuum leaks. Then make sure the egr is opening properly. Clean the iac and check voltage at tps.

Those are just basic things that seem to affect lots of foxes.

I would also make sure your getting adequete fuel pressure. It should be around 38 lbs with the vacuum unplugged and capped. If the fuel pressure checks out its most likely ignition.

There is a procedure in the useful sticky thread on testing the hall/pip sensor in the distributor. And if your coil is old I would just replace it.

Running low voltage could also have an affect on this. Are you running under drive pulleys? If so they are most likely the propblem.

i was just mentioning the ud pulleys since you mentioned the amp light. they seem to be a problem with many cars.

Check your plugs and make sure they are in the correct firing order. It could also be your timing.

Check Engine Light on? any codes?
My '94 5.0 ran 10x better after swapping some new O2 sensors in.
It could also have something to do with that chip and whatever tune(s) it may have written on it.
