Horsepower

How much horsepower will I gain if I add high flow cats, h pipe and 2 chamber flowmaster mufflers with straight pipes to my 87 GT? Thanks!

Not very much at all.. 20 tops my guess. unless you toss on a pair of long tubes on with it then 35ish

You need to choose either straight pipes or the h pipe. I prefer an x pipe myself just the tone is what I like

In the October issue of 5.0 magazine they added a cold air intake, 70mm tb and spacer, cat back exhaust, off road x pipe, and tune and only netted 15 HP from stock to give you an idea.

That sounds about right. Like 90 said though. Longtubes would net the best gain as the ball flange really hurts the flow

I did cold air and throttle body and don't notice anything different other than it slightly had more pull up top... Now when I threw my long tubes on with off road h, major difference right out of the gate. I'm curious to see how the torque curve was altered
