a real conundrum

I have an 86 that I'm putting a 95 motor in, I have the 95 donor car the 86 was my first car that my ex sold everything out of. Now my question is I've got the motor in the car factory 89 intake a9p computer. Now I have the factory wiring in the car minus the injector harness and I've looked for one everywhere locally really wanting to get my baby running tonight so my question is should I just change the harness to the 95, or can I just splice what I need into the 86!?

I don't recall what year the a9p was from. But if possible I would use the harness that's for that ecu. It's possible to splice but will be pretty complicated. But I haven't done this swap.

I do have the computer from the 95 however I think I can still use the a9p because it won't have certain sensors and crap like that

Very possible. I would definitely try to avoid the 95 ecu if you can. Because they are more finicky. Hopefully someone else will chime in and give you better info. Good luck.

Re: a real conundrum

Look up information on installing the A9P/L in a 95 Mustang and use that info to see if you need to make any wiring or sensor changes.
