Re: Drivers side window wont go up

The little pins or balls in the regulator are busted up and not holding anymore.Get a window regulator repair kit and replace them if the motor is still good.

Did a little homework today came to a possible conclusion that armor all has gotten into the switch. Going to clean possibly replace while I'm in their. If this post is used for future reference and you have the same problem if u hit the driver side window switch interior lights will dim and radio will turn off. Also all windows will not allow you to put them up or down only after you hit the drivers side window switch. Their is no fuse for the windows. So basically u short the system until car goes off and on again to reset.

Window may go up or down maybe not at all. I tried dust off that worked to get it up but is not the solution.

If the lights dim and the radio goes off that's an indication the regulator is grinding up the pins/balls like I said. You are over amping the motor when that happens and eventually you are going to blow a fuse or burn it or some wiring up. Armour All in the switch shouldn't cause that unless you just filled the switch up with it.
