possible 5.0 donor?

I recently bought a '93 LX 4banger with the intent to do an engine swap. My grandfather is taking apart a '90 f150 XLT lariat with an EFI 302 for the OD transmission to put in his '54 Merc. I've read that when doing this swap you need to get the correct MAF sensors and computers, etc. I was wondering if all of the things I would need would be available on the truck, and compatible with my LX.

Re: possible 5.0 donor?

You will have to research the truck and Mustang wiring and sensors and see if they are compatible.

Would wiring diagrams work? If so where could I find them? Thanks for the response

They should give you an idea.
You can find Mustang wiring diagrams in the Useful Info thread.
Look for the Very Useful and Old Fuel Injection links.
You could also find wiring diagrams in Chiltons manuals.
You will want one for the Mustang and maybe get one for the truck too if you can find them cheap enough. Be sure they have the diagrams before you buy them as some do not and get the ones specifically for your vehicle not the ones that cover various models, otherwise you are paying for a lot of pages and info you probably will not need.
