About to buy my first Pony

Hey all im new here obviously. Been a life long fan of mustangs, my dream car is a 71' Mach 1. Anyhoo in less than a week i will be the proud owner of my first mustang, an 87' GT with automatic trans. Ive been looking for a mustang for years, just waiting for the right one to come along and this is it. It needs some tlc, but only on the exterior and interior. The drive train is in beautiful condition. It already has the MSD ignition system, new flowmasters and a cool air intake. Its right at 150k miles and the best part is im getting her for $1300.00

Im definatly looking forward to this car. Yes that is it in my icon picture. I really wish it was a 5spd but my left knee is pretty mych shot so an auto is better for me. Ill post more pictures next weekend after we pick it up. Lucky for me my best friend has an 87' t-top GT so he knows everything about these fox bodies

Wife and i have been discussing what to do and i think we will pretty much restore it to original with a few small mods. Custom paint and interior and might keep the turbine rims just because people tend to get rid of them for cobra style rims.

That's probably a good idea. Finding one that has been unmolested, so to speak is all but impossible these days.
I wish you the best of luck in your project.
