Just got a 1988 Mustang GT

I just bought a 1988 mustang gt. It had glass packs on it and I did not like the sound. I just put on 2 chamber flow masters turned down. STILL NOT SATISFIED!!!! Will putting on off road H-Pipes Make a big difference?

It all depends on the sound your looking for. With the GT's, unless someone has changed them, they have turn downs at the rear bumper and that usually tones them down a bit. For a deeper tone you could go with a off road h pipe or for a more rasper sound go with a off road x pipe and you will notice a difference in sound. And if want it a bit more louder go with straight tips out the back instead of the turn downs at the rear bumper.

Set of headers will pick up the sound to and add a lil performance to go along with x-pipe or h-pipe of your choice.

Ok. Well after you tubing a lot of sounds I think I'm going with the off road h pipe. I've heard with the combination of the 2 chamber flow masters and of road h pipes I'll get they sound. I'll let ya know how it turns out!

The off road H-pipe will help improve the sound.
Going to 2.5" pipe all the way out the back will also help.
There is an exhaust article in the Useful Info sticky thread that lays out the best flowing exhaust if you want to go that route.

Yes it helps. But is not as good as a real off road pipe. Because your still using stock size pipe and bends. But if you don't have much money go for it.

I put an H-pipe with high flow cats and the 2 chamber flowmaster mufflers and I love the sound. It's rumbles but it's not obnoxious. If u want that extra rumble eliminate the cats.

Be careful ordering there. They were hacked a while back and lost everyone's information including credit card info from what I read.

Thats why you use a prepaid credit card for ordering.

Interesting. I did not know that. Will definitely be cautious on the next order.
