On a fox? 275(10") is the widest you can go

I think you can actually fit up to a 315, but don't quote me on that.
Checked & yes you can - Fox Body Wheel & Tire Guide

There is an article in the Useful Info sticky thread on how to fit wider tires.
Here it is - How to Clearance Fox Body Wheel Wells

I have 295/50/15 tires on 10" rims for mine, but they are not fitted yet.

315's on a Fox

I run 28x11.50's on a 5.5" backspaced draglite.. Street tires 295/40/15 fit perfect with some massaging..

Those fit yours ok with the 5.5" backspacing?
Mine are pushed to far out to the fender with the 5.5".

I guess what they say about these cars all being different is true.

It may be a 6.5" backspacing on the RR I believe. But I'm sure one was a 5.5". That was on my blue 88' that had the 28x11.50's... These I have on my 90' now are 295/40/17 on bullit rims

The 6.5" backspace is what is usually required for 10"-10.5" wheels on a Fox.
Since I already have the 5.5" wheels I may just narrow the rear end/axles to make them work.
