New mustang owner

Hey all my father bought me a 1991 gt with a saleen kit and with 70,000 miles on it for 2gs. Wihout even asking me if i wanted it he jus got it right away is that a good deal or did he get ripped off? Cause the insides carpeting is all ripped up And improper the pain looks like its been spray painted and it doesnt have tailpipes which makes it very loud plus it has a check engine light on. Its mostly stock and the only mod is a cai. It drives pretty like it has no shocks cause every little bump is a big one idk what do do should i keep it or what? Cause it seems like it may cost me alotta money in the long run. Any advice or tips? I always wanted a fast strong car and thought about restoring it kind of but still unsure

If it only has 70k on it, it's a good deal for sure.
Restore it, it will become the fast, strong, great looking car you desire.
