mustang issues

Okay my fox looks good on the outside. I took it to one dealership and they said everything looked good except for my exhaust being pretty much connected to the body without any hangers and so it was rubbing against my tire. Then I took it to another place and they told me that my fox has been in a really bad accident before I had it and that parts of the frame are screwed up and the underbody looks like crap. I have bolts that don't want to stay tight. I don't have that much money and I don't want to give up my dream of owning a foxbody mustang. What should I do?

Get a second opinion by a trusted individual. When a shop goes big like that sometimes I have a hard time believing them. Is the car tracking good? You can get under there and do a visual inspection. And maybe take some parallel measurments to see if it looks straight.

Yeah my boyfriend knows a lot about cars and is gonna have a look at it this weekend. Or do you think I should have someone who is certified look at it? I love my car and this news I got from this place really got me down.

I would let your boyfriend look at it first. If its what they make it out to be it would be noticeable. Just take some measurments across the undercarriage, and any good points you find corner to corner and see if its tweeked. And it maybe rusty, it is an old car. Rust can be fixed as long as its not all rotted through. See what your boyfriend thinks first and let us know what you guys find.

Re: mustang issues

If you can get it on a lift, take some pics and post them here. Concentrate on the frame rails from front to back.
If there is any severe damage we should be able to see it and give you some advice too if you want it.

I have frame rot/holes in front next to headers. Should I eventually continue on w cosmetics or keep rat because my front end might snap? I think it looks to be about size of fist both sides
