Carbed fuel system questions!

Good morning, everyone. And sorry about all of these threads, I have no idea what I'm doing with my car...
But, anyways. I'm changing this 4 cylinder auto fox into a carbed 302 5 speed. I've been reading online that I shouldn't use the EFI fuel pump, I should get a Holley Blue/Red with a regulator and fashion/buy a fuel pickup.
How could I make a pickup or where could I get the parts to make one?

Also, I kinda want to change the fuel lines from the tank to the carb while I'm at it, the engine bay caught fire before we got our hands on it, so I figured the lines were toast.

You can open your tank and make your own fuel pick up.. Very simple just bypass the stock pump in tank. Get the Holley blue just a little more $$ but it can handle preferred for more future mods.

I think dream stang may still be using the stock fuel pump on his carb car.. But may be wrong, mount the blue above the rear axle they are designed to push fuel not pull it.

Okay, so I need a Blue with a regulator. That's not too bad! I don't quite understand the pickup, though. How could I make one?

It very self explainable when you open the tank.. You can just extend the pick up line coming off the top of the in tank pump. Just add a longer piece of hose. You can also buy some fuel sock material and just a few lamps will hold it in place..

+1
I have made several with larger pickup tubes for higher HP cars and I always will make my own if needed, but some do not have the tools or knowledge to do that, so those make it easier for them.
