wheel bearing and rotor question

im in the middle of changing my wheel bearings up front and i never changed bearings before, but isnt the bearing supposed to go in before the seal? because whoever put the last ones in put the seal in then the bearing. my main question is would it have damaged the rotor at all by them doing this the wrong way?

Doesn't your year use sealed bearings?

And, yes the seals should go on the outside of the bearing assembly if they are needed.
I don't know that it would damage anything, you will have to clean and inspect to see for sure.
If you don't have a Chiltons manual, now would be a good time to buy one.
