Picking up 87 Notch. Need help deciding color!!

Hello everyone. Early next week I'll be buying my first foxbody Mustang ever. It's an 87 Mustang LX notchback roller, and it'll come along with a 302 with GT-40P Heads, carbed, and a X-cam. Should be pretty awesome once I put it all together. If you want I can post pictures, but nevertheless I'm pretty excited!!

The only thing I can't decide what I want to do is what color I want to paint it. Right now it's pink (yes pink.....) so I must change it. My original desire was to paint it Sonic Blue (Or Dark Highland Green) and put white stripes down the car. The only thing is the interior is red (with some black trim pieces, but mainly red nonetheless). So I'm asking you guys what your opinion is. Can I get away with sonic blue? Or must I go with something else?

Leave it Pink and be different!
Of course we want pictures of it before you paint it.

What was the original factory color and how far do you intend to go with a color change?

I believe it was red. I wanted to do sonic blue so I guess that far. Idk if it'll look right with the red though.

Four eyed notch? My favorite body style. They look really good in electric red or torch red with black trim... Looks kinda like this but way brighter..

I had an 89 notch that was all black. That was ok too.

For some reason i thought 87 had four eyes. My 89 did... Hmm... Whoops nvm i had an 89 ranger and an 86 lx, think that was the last year for the 4 eyes... Looks great man. Sonic blue would be dope.

Depends on where you live.. There is a roller on dfw craigslist. Already caged and full black interior for 1200. I would but that motor off him though it looks fresh

Unfortunately that's too far. I'm in South Jersey by Philadelphia. Sonic blue would look awesome, and black too. I love red but my 04 GT is already red so I don't want 2 red cars. I want to change it up.

If it has a red interior I would go black.. Maybe flat black with chrome 18" cobra rims

If its a 5lug that would be cool but im not a fan of crome rims. There is a lot of replica 4 lug cobra rims out there for a good price. I try to keep my fox as light as possible.

By how far, I meant that if you do a color change you really need to paint inside and out to make it look right. Otherwise every time you open the hood, trunk or doors you will be able to see the original color and that just looks tacky and unfinished IMO.

I'd favor the Highland or Dark Emerald Green because those colors are not as prevalent as the Sonic Blue.

Paint it the color you want, sonic blue, and source the interior color change pieces from the junkyard and Craigslist. Makes sense
