Project NiteRage has begun! (Engine replacement and Supercharger addition.)

Hey guys/gals,

After a freak accident on the road destroyed my oil pan and crank, I decided to build it. I have a new 5.0 short block, ported E7 heads, and a 268 comp cam, with a GT40 (explorer) intake. I also bought a Vortech V3 SCI (4-6 psi). It's mated to a rebuilt AOD, that I just ordered a TCI Saturday night Special (2000 stall) for. Here's the crazy part: I bought 2 17X10 pony style rims and put 275-40-17 tires on them. obvioulsy they will be going on the back, but I'm gonna keep the stock 15's up front...lol I'll see how they look, and if I don't like it, then I'll just get the matching 17X8 for the front. Oh and the whole car is matte black, hence my project name

Yeah I was planning on some gt40 heads, but money was tight after I bought everything. Plus I already had those ported E7's, so I figured i'd be good for now. And I will definitely get some pics up. It'll be probably about 2 weeks before the blower comes in, so I'm gonna take a week off of work to pit it all in. Thanks for the support!

Oh also I've got a buddy who dyno'ed my 4.6, so I'm gonna try to see what numbers she puts down after it's all said and done.[COLOR="Silver"]

Here's a pic of her before the freak accident. And yes it's a dirty car, and what not. Kinda gives me that Mad-Max feel..... Lol Besides the deep dish 17's going out back, she'll look about the same. And btw, that's all plasti-dip

Just to update you all: Today I pulled the tranny and old engine out. I had to stop early Cause I'm going to a baseball game tonight. But tomorrow I'll be swapping everything over to the new engine, and hopefully by Wednesday she'll be ready to go in the car, if not already in it!

Tomorrow I'm gonna finish swapping the accesories over and get it ready, if not actually put it in the car. I need new motor mounts, various gaskets and I'm putting in a new rear main seal since it's out of the car.

Thanks for all your support!

Yeah new gaskets all around. I got the engine in the car today; and tomorrow I'm putting the tranny back in with a TCI torque converter. I'm hoping to have it all done by tomorrow afternoon. Here's some poor pics of the engine completed lol:

My 306 with a strim, windsor jr heads, rpm intake made 440whp
ran like a scalded Ape!! I pound on that motor for a couple years
and never had a problem until I let a friend take it down the
track and he missed a shift. Spun a bearing about 6 months later
and blew it up real good.

Thanks! Sorry I haven't responded sooner but I had a wedding to go to over the weekend, and I went back to work on Monday. The valve body in the tranny was sticking alittle so it took me till today to fix it. She doesn't feel quite as quick as my New Edge, but I'm gonna put some 3.73's in her too and I didn't get a chance to take some pics or video yet, but I will by the end of the week!

That's about it for now. She runs great; I have a buddy with an 01' Z28 with intake and exhaust and we were keeping up with each other the other day. The same buddy has another friend with a dyno, so I'm gonna have her dyno'ed in the next couple of weeks to see what she puts down.
