Gaskets

When installing the upper intake manifold, do I need to put sealant on the gasket or should I put it in dry? If sealant is needed, what do you prefer?

Depends on the gasket material.
If it is a Fel-Pro that is coated, then nothing is required.

If it is a paper gasket, then I will spray it with Permatex Copper Coat or wipe it with a thin layer of silicone to ensure a good seal.

And if your doing the lower also you need to toss the end gaskets. And use a 1/4" bead all the way across and overlap onto the heads area.

Thanks. Also there is a vacuum hose coming off the oil filler tube (vent) going to the upper intake manifold and from the upper intake manifold going to the vacuum tree but I noticed no hose going to the PCV valve. Should there be a hose going to that and if so where does it connect to?
