351

I have a 69 351 block I want to build a 408 stroker. When I did my 347 my machine guy said other than boring it he had to notch a piece off the block for crank clearance. I read online for a 408 the only machine work is boring does know for sure exactly what needs to be done to my block? Thanks

Called my machine shop he said he wasn't 100 percent sure about the 351 so I guess if I put it together and something's hits I'll know the answer

The 351W and 302 blocks are different. You may or may not need to notch the 351W block for the 408.
You need at least .080" clearance on all rotating parts to allow for heat expansion of the components.
