Ebrake button fix?

Okay so my ebrake button has rattled forever. Was just wondering f one of you knew a cheap way to fix it instead of buying a new lever?

Unfortunately with my exhaust setup rattling my entire car like a goddamn harley. I don't think certain rattles are goin away without good fixins!

I would like to see if someone knows an easy fix as well.

Its 90 dollars for an entire ford ebrake assembly @ cj pony parts. But its just a worn out spring that it suppose to keep that button in position. If you take it apart, you should be able to pick up that spring at any hardware store.

I read earlier in another forum as well that if you pull the brake all the way up so the button is pushed out you can wrap a thin piece of electrical tape around the base and it will stop. Im going to try it, but if it doesn't work, I was thinking the same thing, just finding a spring at a hardware store.
