Swapping A 5.0 With A 5.8

I got my new project to work on with my son.... A 1990 Mustang GT with a blown 5.0 in it.... Going to replace it with a 5.8 and trying to figure out what I need to do....

Does the wiring harness need to be replaced?
Does the computer need to be replaced?

Any tips are truly appreciated.....

Thank You,
KJ

No to the wiring harness and computer. They will work just fine with the 351W.

You will need oil pan, headers & an EFI lower intake manifold to fit the 351W. I'd use this opportunity to go with an aftermarket intake as they will provide you with much better performance and air flow more suited to the larger engine.

There are probably a few more items that I cannot remember right now

There should be more information on the swap in the Useful Info sticky thread in this forum.
