86 gt starting problems

I have an 86 mustang gt that doesn't want to start sometimes...it's just one click and nothing... Starter is getting power to it, and it does it every once and a blue moon...any ideas??

Yes it could be your starter silinoid. I'm more thinking you have worn windings in the starter.

I'd check all of my connections first. Good grounds and clean terminals. Then, I'd move on to the battery and so on.
