Power steering

My pump has been leaking and finally adding fluid does nothing my steering wheel is near impossible to move. I bought a new pump I just bolt it on right?

Should do. Just check the lines. Replaced all mine so far. Dosent leak anymore.

Ok when yours went out was it like impossible to turn the wheel?

It would cut in and out whilst driving. Almost as though the pump was cavitating. But when it went it was just like having a manual rack. Not incredibly hard to turn. But not easy either. Your issue sounds a bit strange. Make a video. Show us how hard it is to turn? Have you checked the column? Not getting caught on anything like new headers?
