Heat is very low output

I have an 89 lx, got it, heat didn't work. Flushed the heater core, worked for a few days and it started leaking. So changed the heater core (what a pain in the ***!) Now, it blows hot air, but seems to be coming out very slow. As if the fan is on one, when it's on four. I can hear the fan working, hard. Just isn't putting out a lot of heat. Ant suggestions?

Make sure nothing got sucked into the fan, or that the door is opening to allow it to pull the air in. Another possibility is that you accidentally disconnected the vacuum line that controls what vents it uses, it defaults to the defroster. Just see if that's were most of the output is, if so then you will need to reconnect the vacuum line.
