1979 mercury capri engine?

I have a 1979 mercury capri, its a v8 5.0. I need to know if it is a small block or not. I want to buy some chrome valve covers off of ebay, and some say "small block" and others just say 302. I know its 302 but I just need some more information. I want a site I can get the vavle covers, a new carb., some new gear ect. Give me all the info you know about a 1979 mercury capri aka 5.0 ford mustang,

you allready answered your question, that is the same setup as a mustang, and it is a 302 engine. if you really what to know pull the numbers of the engine (located on the back drivers side of the block right above wear the tranny bell housing is) Yes the 302 is a small block and apart of the windsor motor family, this involes most of the 351's as well

Yes. The 302 (5.0) is a small block. It is part of the winsor family to include the 289 and 351W.
