I have a 1979 mercury capri, its a v8 5.0. I need to know if it is a small block or not. I want to buy some chrome valve covers off of ebay, and some say "small block" and others just say 302. I know its 302 but I just need some more information. I want a site I can get the vavle covers, a new carb., some new gear ect. Give me all the info you know about a 1979 mercury capri aka 5.0 ford mustang,

Yes. The 302 (5.0) is a small block. It is part of the winsor family to include the 289 and 351W.
