What size are the starter bolts on my 1983 mustang gt?

i just recently bought a 1983 mustang gt 5.0 and i notced that the starter bolts are gone can anyone tell me what size they are so i can get some new ones?? thanks

either 5/16 or 3/8" by 1" NC.. they're cheap buy both..don't forget lock washers..

What size are the starter bolts on my 1983 mustang gt?

Gonna be metric...... I'm thinking 10mm shank, requiring a 13 mm socket. The 5.0L Ford is a metric engine for the most part. These bolts are threading into either the aluminum bellhousing of an AOD or T5; so it's not a good idea to try to force it. You'll only tear the threads out.
