What is wrong with my car/engine?

I drive a 1989 Mustang GT convertible, and when i put the pedal to the metal i notice some white smoke that comes out of my exhaust, it may be a little or it may be a lot. I also noticed my oil is used up quite a bit, I have to fill up the oil more than usual. I'm new to the auto mechanic stuff, so please help mechanics.

this means you are burning oil at a slow pace and when you floor the car the engine is working harder and the oil is burning faster, there could be an oil leak inside your engine somewhere, nasty job

sounds like a head gasket or intake gasket leaking and your mixing the oil and anti-freeze together and burning both out the combustion chamber.

The head gasket is damaged and leaking coolant into your head and burning it with the fuel. That's why the white smoke comes out as for the oil, your car is older and it's going to have oil leaks in all kinds of place and that oil just lands on the block and burns.

when white smoke goes out, this means there is something related to oil most probably. you might be short of oil in ur motor, and this is so dangerous. u might be risking losing it. it might crash.
try checking the oil level and quality.
