How do I install an Oil Separator?

Its a 2.3 L Ford Engine, 1985 Mustang, no turbo. The problem is that I have an oil leak there. Do i have to put some kind of sealant? Or a gasket? The top it is connected to the PCV valve hose and the bottom to the engine block, and thats where it leaks oil, to take it out i just pulled it effortlessly, it had no gasket or sealant. it just sat there. Anyone familiar with this type of Oil Separator?

a push-in separator! very common, leaks usually occur because the motor is dead/dying and the crankcase is pressurized with blowby. Re-ring or rebore time.
