Exhaust options

Ok well if most of you dont know by now I have a 94 GT and Im looking to change the mufflers and tails. I have MAC long tubes, BBK H pipe and just cheap mufflers on it know. Im looking to do a Super 44 with tails coming out the sides in front of the back tires 2 1/2". Just looking to try something different everyone around here is running them out the back and they sound good but thought I'd try them out the side, I had an old Chevy truck years ago and had Flows with the tails coming out the side and it sounded mean. So let me know what you all think about this set-up and if will work.

Re: Exhaust options

Flowmaster does not make a muffler that will allow you to run side exit.

Gabe can't post the vids because they are too big to attach.

No, he tried emailing them to me and they are too big. He's coming over to my house tonight or at least tomorrow, so I'll get them off his camera then. otherwise, mikey can get some clips on his own and post them up.

sounds good, thanks alot

Also will I run into problems running the tails out the side? Dont really want them dumped and there is just to many with them coming out the back wanted something different, any opinions on how to do it?

Re: Exhaust options

Prochamber and flowmaster combo doesn't sound too bad (can be used with MAC long tubes if I remember right)... I'm biased, though

Re: Exhaust options

yea when I post mine, you'll get to see the different in sound with the turn downs. Turn downs aren't bad, they are just really REALLY bass-y. But, granted, can still be loud. Side exhaust a.) is overrated, b.) cost TONS to do, c.) isn't usually a great idea. Plus, you'll be cleaning the rear rims non stop.

Re: Exhaust options

my camera can't pick up the amount of "bass" sound that comes from the car, so if you have a great sound system maybe it'll sound better or turn the bass all the way down. First shot was about 10 ft away from the car, 2nd was a good 25-30 feet away.
