Clutch adjustment

Anyone know of a DIY for adjusting the clutch with a quadrant and firewall adjuster. For me, the engagement point is a bit to high(around the brake pedal, high lol) before I tried tightening the the two screws on the cable by the trans and the engagement point was nice and close the the firewall but the pedal had much sloppy play before you even got there. Does the firewall adjuster take that up?

Thanks

The quadrant would take up slack, is this a stock one? If so push down on the clutch with your left hand and slowly let off while holding the actual Quadrant part from moving youll hear 1 click per clutch depression do like 1-3 and see how it feels
