Check to see if oil is getting sucked through the PCV valve. If the baffle is missing or broke under the upper intake it will cause that...or you have burnt rings.

Yes. Upper and lower. What kind of intake do you have?

So..just for context. I had a victor jr intake I traded for a performer RPM (emissions related reasons). When I installed the intake I did cam, rockers, and heads too. I ended up with black smoke coming out when getting on it. It took me forever to realize that the performer intake did not come with a baffle to install on the bottom of the lower intake. Basically, every time I got on it, the PCV Valve was sucking oil from the lifter tray into the intake. I had no loss of power though like you may see with burnt rings. Just lots of black smoke.

I meant to say LOWER intake...sorry. Between the intake and the lifter tray connected to the lower intake.

Black smoke is fuel your running rich blue smoke is oil and white smoke is coolant. If your seeing black smoke under accel then your dumping fuel
