speedo gear question

This speedo gear is from AOD, swapping in a T5. Was told could use the same gear just cut off 1/4" of shaft. Does anyone know the exact length of shaft on T5 speedo gear? Thanx in advance!

Thats where I purchased this one from when I did the rear gear upgrade. Only difference is in color of gear & shaft length, teeth count is identical. If trim a bit off the shaft it'll be the SAME THING.... just need the appropriate shaft length.
