Blow Off Valve Question

Hi there had a question if it's ok to mount a blow off valve with a 90 degree elbow opposed to as straight into the piping after my intercooler? Reason I ask is my old vavle failed and I replaced it with a larger one and I'm having fitment issues because it's a lot taller. Thanks.

It shouldn't make a difference, IMHO.

Well that's good to hear because I ordered an elbow to modify the location to use for it and I was afraid of compressor surge.

I wouldn't think that it would make any difference.

IMO If you have a blow through maff the best location of the bov is before the intercooler. Close to the maff after the intercooler cause turbulence.

I wouldn't say it's right before the MAF there's still a good 2 feet of piping beforehand.

Nice.

I replaced three times the bov in my car because after the intercooler cause erratic readings of the maf volts and kg/ hr. In the end the bov is located like 6 inches after the turbo.

Do you have data logging?

No difference.

Just stay away from the maff. Good luck!
