coil springs trouble

Does anybody know where I can get that little tool to put my front coil springs in. I saw it maximum auto for 14.00 but would love to walk in and buy it today. Dallas/Fort Worth.

When I changed mine I just used a jack an 2 stands. I jacked up the car and put the stands under the frame, then place the jack under the control arm and jacked it up a little. Then take the strut bolts out and slowly let the jack down And then it just falls right out.

you should not need a spring compressor to put in new lowering springs, I could see the need for one if you are putting the OEM springs back in.

Either way you can rent the tool at autozone or where ever and when you take it back you get all your money back

There is a how to on this site you can read over

For fox bodies.... yup you need the compressor lol.... be VERY careful if you do try to use a spring compressor.
