You bad if you even attempt it!! I don't have any experience with replacing the top since I paid a shop, but from others testimonies and the danger of not getting it perfectly aligned, I'd say don't even try. Unless of course you have done it before. I'd get local estimates first if you can. Keep in mind that the glass has to be replaced as well.

I did my own. I only did it cause the best labor qoute I got was 800. It was the hardest job I have ever done on a car! If you can afford to I would get it done professionally. If not I woukdnt do it without the how to video. It costs around 25 from LRS. If you wanna know more about whats involved buy the video amd check it out. There just isnt enough info on the net to go at it without. If u decide to do it update us and I will give u whatever pointers I can.

Buy the dvd as soon as you can. That way you have time to watch it thouroughly. I watched it over twice then setup a tv in the garage. Lol.

Your gonna want a lower stapler. It takes about 500+ staples. Then the most important thing on the job is getting the bow heights setup. Just remember that and follow the instructions amd you can do it

Wow.. I can't recall where I found a how to guide on the net somewhere, but it had directions listed for a bunch of years up to 2005. I think prior to 2005 it's a 2 pice top or something. Apparently it's a little harder job.. I wish I could find that link again. If I find it I'll post it.

I have seen some. But yeah it is a serious job. The instructions that come with the top are 1 paragraph. The dvd is 2 1/2 hours long. So there is tons of info you need that I just wouldnt recommend doing without the dvd.
