Well have to drop the transmission so now would be the time to replace the clutch also.

Not that it's hard but more like not for the inexperienced. I have my own shop and lifts not many people have that benefit. If it's something you don't feel totally comfortable doing take it to a reputable shop and you should be fine.

My throuwout bearing shattered on me on a long trip lol, I am in the process of a full clutch replacement. Its my first time doing anything like it and I'll say its not 'easy' but if you have 2 jack stands, a good floor jack with at least 15-20inches of lift and a good socket set you can do it! Let me know if you want any advice, my best advice is keep at it, a lot of times I thought 'oh this is hopeless, I give up' only to try again 30 mins later and continued progressing. Two things my 5.0 have taught me, persistence is key and so is having the right tool for the job.

Do you have vibration over 60mph ? could be a stuck u-joint, easy to check and CHEAP to replace.
