Valve Covers and Explorer Intake HELP!!!!!

Hi All,

I posted here a few weeks ago. New dilemma, I have a 1989 5.0 out of a Mustang GT that I am keeping fuel injected and putting into a FFR Cobra. I ordered Ford Racing M-6000-C302, Cobra valve covers. These are suppose to be for EFIs. I have upgraded to a 2000 Ford Explorer upper and lower intake and the new valve covers will not fit, they are too tall. I can buy a 1 inch spacer but do not know if that will be enough to solve the problem. Anyone been here before?????

Factory five says that I do have enough room under the hood for the spacer.

Thanks for any input!

It should fit with the 1" spacer under the stock hood. It will be close though.
