Valve spring help

Hello all,
Warmer weather hit and rolled out the notchback. Hit about 8 miles and broke a valve spring at idle what a bummer. I'm trying to find new ones and Jegs is asking where the spring sits in the head is it cupped or shimmed ? I don't know can someone chime in please. And tell me what to look for. Elderbroch performer 5.0 heads.
