camshaft/stock heads

Ok I have a question for all you mustang gear heads........I have a 91GT, I wanna upgrade my cam mildly to a Ford Racing B303. Can I keep my stock heads/springs the same or will I need to upgrade those as well? Im trying to slowly upgrade the entire car but on a tight budget. Any help would be great!

Yes the stock heads are fine. You should be ok with your springs, unless they are wore out and weak.

+1 on the stock heads being good.

I would recommend a spring upgrade so you don't have to worry about spring failure with the added lift.

Seeing how your on a budget, cleaning up the intake and exhaust ports in your heads and matching the port size to the gaskets will help you pick up a little more with the added airflow of the cam. That's something you can do yourself with the proper tools.
