1987 mustang

Does anyone no what modifications would I need to to for me to install a long/big block 5.0 engine to my 1987 mustang lx 5.0

When you say big block, do you mean a 351?

That looks like just a crate 5.0 motor. By long block they mean it comes with heads and mostly assembled.... A short block is minus heads, just the block and rotating assembly.

You should make sure whether it is a solid roller motor versus a hydraulic roller motor though. Not a direct replacement if yours isn't the same. You may need lifters. Can't tell from the pic but I would assume that it does not come with an intake.

Also see what heads are on it. E7TE were the stock heads that came on your car I believe. But they were different on earlier years with less flow.

Good point, hard to tell from the pic but look in the description, should tell you that info as well as what applications it should be used for.
