Fuel pressure problem

I got a 88 gt. non roller 302 from ford truck holley 6oo street avenger starving of fuel how much fuel pressure does it need to run it has a universial pump u buy from autozone its doing about 3.5-4 psi at idle were should it b stock motor when i go up the rd it will have power thru first starve in second gear any help appreciated thats

I would first check the fuel filter if you are running that low it sounds like you have a block some where I would start with that. I also believe stock fuel pressure is around 35-40 psi. I'm not 100% sure but someone else will probably chime in with more info.

DO NOT RUN 35-40psi TO YOUR CARB! Thats the efi fuel pressure.

If 3.5-4 isnt enough I would just bump it up a little at a time to see if that helps, also check your timing it could be out of whack
