Oil pressure problem

So, I was driving around town and when I'm in the throttle my gauge shows as low as 20, when off the gas like at a stop sign, it shows around 40. At first start up its up around 60. I recently replaced pump and shaft. Anybody ran into this before? What could it be? It is an aftermarket sunpro gauge that previous owner installed because factory one broke. Ty

first check to make sure gauge is reading correctly. oil pressure will also drop after oil reach norm temp.

This is true, but it doesn't fluctuate from 50 to 20 and then back up to 50 during normal daily driving. Gauge was put in by previous owner and is fairly new.

Over 200,000 miles. It was not doing it when I purchased it, and after putting another quart in it seemed to do better. It really only seems to be when I am romping on it hard.

yeah, nothing to be concerned about really.. 200K your just loosing a little pressure because there is more volume in the bearings to fill.
