1990 gt automatic 3.73 gears

Are changing my gears to 3.73 worth the money or my time? I have heard plenty of talk about them And was wondering what benefits received from doing this. Does it work on automatic transmission?

I'd say go 4.10. I did 4.10s in my 98 gt auto and it really woke it up. I went down to 3.55s for forced induction but I miss those 4.10s.

Yes they are one of the more difficult items to install. I highly recommend having profesional instalation done so you dont mess up your car.

Get a performance shop to do it for you, for how difficult it is, $150-$350 is actually pretty cheap labor for how difficult it is if you don't know how to do it, plus you could mess somthing up bad. Total cost will probably be around $500 with installation, but it will feel like you dropped a new motor into your car! One of the most worthwhile mods imo.
