Best 5.0 intake?

Rebuilding my motor, currently is a built 306 with stock heads probe pistons, mild trick flow cam for nitrous and a cobra intake. Looking for a little more so I bought some Dart 202 heads replacing everything and wanting the best intake available. Looking to see what would be best for me? Thanks guys.

Ported Gt40/Cobra/Explorer. They flow 240-250 cfm and are a great street intake. Probably the best street intake for a 302/306.

I said a ported one. Contact user tmoss on the corral and get a quote to have your lower ported. Stock they flow 200cfm, ported by him they are 240-250cfm which is right what AFR 165 and Twedge heads flow. Not sure what the DART heads flow but if they are sized for a 302/306 I'm guessing right in the TW area.

Edit: Or if you don't want to be down for the time it takes to pull your intake and send it out and then wait for it to come back and re-install it get a $100 explorer lower off ebay or a JY or wherever and have that ported and then swap it with your unported lower.

Look at the specs of those heads and what he wants to do. I stand by my statement that the ported Cobra is the best street intake for a 302/306.

Depends on what rpm band the 302-306 is being used for. Depending on what trans/cam/gearing hes using the best intake for him could be a huge Edlebrock Victor. Lord knows a 306 can push 400rwhp on motor and pump gas with the right parts.

So modmax what cam/gears and trans are you running? Also what is the car used for daily driving or track use only. If daily driving then is it mostly highway or city use the car sees?

Sorry I'm just now getting back to you guys! Current cam is a trick flow nitrous cam, 373 gears and having my worldclass t-5 rebuilt. The car is just a hobby so it's not daily driven, heads are dart pro 1s. I just want a good streetable car that I can race every once in a while. Also I'm having plans on a pro charger in the near future.

I still say unless you are going up past 6800 rpm regularly the Cobra is the best bang for the buck. If you are setting up an 8K RPM 306 then no lol.
