Sittin to long need help asap

So what's up fellas so I got a problem I have a 88 lx 306 that I fixed up everything thing on is rebuilt
But it had a leak in the tranny rear main seal ?maybe?
Second the car was a daily driver and I saved money to get a new 5.0 so I parked the 88 long story short I tried to turn it on today and it was making a weird noise at the start like a grinding noise I had to step on the break and it would stop , let go and it would happen again until I unplugged the battery .... I thought it was the starter changed it
I'm seriously stuck
