T45 swap

First off, car being discussed is a 95' GT. So last week at the track, I blew up the clutch in the car. Just got the trans and broken up clutch out (clutch disc looked like mulch) and had the thought of swapping in a T45 while its out of the car. To my understanding, only difference is the trans crossmember and mounts and that the bellhousing bolts to the trans from the inside in the T45, but the bellhousings have the same bolt pattern to the motor. Anyone want to enlighten me? The swap Would be a definitive upgrade.

Oh I'm certainly grateful to have even gotten the car home under its own power. Strange thing is it blew at the 1st to 2nd shift but I really didn't notice it much at all. I stayed in it in 2nd and realized I couldn't get into third so I coasted through the line. Then tried to get into gear after stopping to get my time slip and nothing. I thought I'd broken the pedal because it had hardly no tension. Looked under the car at the vents in the bellhousing and slivers of metal and fiberglass were everywhere. Had to rev match to change gears to get home. had to turn the car off to get into first, start the car, and buck forward at lights to take off. Was definitely strange.

Just my somewhat local track, Mobile International Dragway in Mobile, AL. It's only 600ft due to such a short shut down area. About .3 faster than full 1/8th mile times. As soon as I get the new clutch properly broken in, should be taking a trip to No Problem in Belle Rose, LA. Would be my first time going down a 1/4mi.

The bell is one piece with the trans and the bolt pattern is completely different, no it won't work. No idea who told you the bolt patterns where the same but they are completely wrong.
