Idle problem

I changed the egr valve. Egr valve sensor and the air idle control valve to pass smog and it passed with ease. Since then, after the car running for a little while the rpms shoot up to 2000-2500 at idle. Also when I let off the gas the rpms want to stay around that high so the car won't coast. I have off road h pipe with 40 series flows so at stop lights I feel like people look at me thinking I'm a ****** for giving it gas while I'm sitting there. Lol.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Grab a length of hose and move it around the engine bay with one end in your ear, under the upper intake manifold especially, but the egr stuff too. You'll hear it when you get close to a leak.

Try cleaning your MAF too did you reset base idle?
