I'm sure this has been beaten to death but how much work would it take to get a shell foxbody to be able to compete in a quarter mile tourney? I would aim to compete in the super stock class if I based it off the NHRA classes
I seem to recall the old Pure Street NMRA drag cars cost about 30 grand to build not including back up engines, tires or trailers etc. Im not sure about the newer class cars but its safe to assume it will cost more. I beleave its true right now that in order to be competitve in Super Stock NMRA a new coyote powered s197 is what you will need. So what ever one of those cost plus a good 10 grand to set up the car properly for competition is my closest guess. You will also need insight from a mechanical genius on what parts to use.
