The heater core could be on its way out.

After u choose to reply, there is a plus symbol in the too right corner. If u touch that, it'll ask u to choose where u want the pic from. After that, take or load the pic, then touch the pic and choose to insert line. If u want to type, then u can. If not, then choose to send. This is all assuming u r using the app.

Let's make sure that's what it is first. I knew it'd be a huge job. The whole dash. That stinks. Like I say, let's make sure that's what it is. The heater core shouldn't just give a glob of goo and be done. If the heater core ruptures, u should have a nice wet spot.

---------- Post added at 03:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:26 PM ----------

On a nice note, thats a sweet ride! Tryin to ask some folks to identity that tank. Maybe a vacuum tank? Not sure yet. We will find out tho.

It will eventually stop leaking when it runs out of oil right? then I can put off getting it fixed for a few months

Oh. U said green right?

I'm pretty sure that is the diverter. The part that when u change from defrost to vent. If what came out of it was antifreeze, that's not gonna be a good thing. That would mean the heater core is busted. No over heating or anything?

Your freakin badass man thanks for all your help. Pisser about it is that a heater core is 35 bucks but will take 3 hrs for a mechanic to replace

U could do it brother. It's not as hard as it looks. Just take ur time and do it. Just looks overwhelming because ur not used to seeing the dash out lol. Might get in there and it be something more simple. If I were gonna do it, I'd probably change the hoses as well. Good luck brother. Let us know.

Just label in sandwich bags where everything came from. That way, when u put it back, poof, there's no guessing and no lost parts or pieces.
