Anybody have a cage in their car?

Thinking about putting a simple 6 point in my car. Any input?

Was it a full cage? I'm basically looking for something to stiffen it up a little. Also looking for a mount to put some harnesses on.

I'm not really sure.. I can find a picture.. It did stiffin it up but not as much as one would think IMO i suggest some full length weld on sub frame connectors..

Send a message via AIM to lowflyn
For it to add structural support it will be a pita.

Gut interior and weld directly to frame and structural components. Then attempt to reassemble around it.

Well I have full length weld in connectors too.. I just want something to mount my harnesses on. Because running harnesses without a cage is a big no-no.

That's a little more than I was looking for. I was only looking for a hoop behind the seats, and then two bars going to the strut towers in the rear, and then two bars going to the floor beside my feet and the passengers feet.

But on a different note, your car is sooooo sexy. I love those wheels. What brand?

If you go onto Auto power's web site, I think they have several different configuration to choose from; might be worth taking a look...

What do you think about bending one up? I have the resources and a tubing bender, and my good friend builds race car chassis so I think we could handle it.

What do you mean? Are you talking about the pieces that connect to the floor of the car?
