As for putting a 5.4 in a fox, there are numerous reasons why it is a bad idea but if the op is dead set on it I'll watch as it never gets done. The BEST NA 5.4L I've seen confirmed dyno sheets for is 400/400 ish. A mild 408 that will drop right in and require much less work and cost less will make way more. But what do I know.
+1

The 5.4 is a modular motor. The 4.6 and 5.4 have been used in both performance cars and trucks since the thing debuted pretty much. Well not the 5.4 really until 2000 and then in the Ford GT and the GT500s but still, you get what I'm saying.

Build yourself a 408 stroker if you are looking for power. And turbo it. The modular engines saw their day.

No, modular engines are still as viable as ever but if you have a pushrod platform you might as well just 408 it.

There are PLENTY of boosted modulars in the 600-700hp range both 4v and 2v. They're 99% 4.6s tho.

Yes they are ok. I much prefer the 5.0. Old and new.

A 351 stroker is badass, I would not even bother with a blower. NA, high compression 408 stroker with the right combo is good for 600whp. Block won't take much more than 700-750 so I'd just go with that in 5.0 land. If you need that extra 100-150hp just throw some nitrous at it.

What I really want is a set of Turbos on my stroker. Lol. Should bring it up to 550hp at least.

By the way, my 351 stroker is my 347 bored .030 over. I really should just turbo the stock car for fun.

Most 347 kits already are .030 over.

My neighbors mustang was featured in mm and fast fords. He makes 700 hp NA with a 427 sbf. This thing is a beast. He runs high 8s when he throws the smack to it. But he is running 225 cc heads and some serious supporting mods..
